From Norbrook To Di Bush — Meet Rex

Di voice of di bush — one vlog at a time.

Di Beginning

Some dogs are born into comfort. Rex was born into chaos.
Half Shih Tzu from his uptown Norbrook mother, half street-smart mongrel from the Kingston inner city, Rex was never “fancy” enough for his first owners. When they couldn’t give him away, they left him at a bustling rural market one Saturday evening.

That’s where Miss Patsy found him — a scruffy pup with long brown-and-black fur, a torn ear, bright amber eyes, and the spirit of a survivor. She fed him, tied a red kerchief ‘round his neck, and brought him home to deep rural Jamaica.

Now Rex is more than a pet — he’s the yard’s security guard, chief gossip commentator, and professional mischief-maker. Whether he’s chasing fowl, lounging under the zinc shed, or “reasoning” in raw country patwa about life in the village, Rex lives every day like it’s market Saturday.

From being thrown away to running tings in the country — this is Rex.
Stick around. The bush life is just getting started.
